Pakistan Resolution Day
Happy Pakistan Resolution Day
The Lahore Resolution ( قرارداد لاہور, Qarardad-e-Lahore; লাহোর প্রস্তাব, Lahor Prostab), also known as the Pakistan Resolution (قرارداد پاکستان, Qarardad-e-Pakistan), was a formal political statement adopted by the All-India Muslim League on the occasion of its three-day general session in Lahore on March 22–24, 1940, which called for the creation of 'independent states' for Muslims in north-western and eastern British India. The constituent units of these states were to be autonomous and sovereign. The resolution was presented by Sher-e-Bangal (شیر بنگاله Tiger of Bengal) A. K. Fazlul Huq, the Premier of Bengal. It was later interpreted as a demand for a separate and single Muslim state, called Pakistan.
Get Involved
Volunteering is a work of heart, a critical resource for clubs, organizations, and communities, and a great way to give back to your favorite community, which in our case, is our beloved Pakistani-American community in the Triangle Area. Please consider volunteering for our events and committees to get to know your local community and new comers, to show your talent, to learn how to work in teams for common cause, and have fun.
